About KN6EZE
KN6EZE, “Mike” Molina, became a licensed ham in October of 2019 and lives in Southern California. Mike is an avid hiker and backpacker, and typically uses a handheld radio when in remote backcountry areas to make contact on the 2 meter and 70 cm bands. If you’re monitoring the National Calling Frequencies (146.52 and 446 MHz), you might hear Mike utilizing the Wilderness Protocol to make contact at the top of the hour or while summiting. You can often find him roaming the San Gabriel Mountains and other beautiful wilderness areas. His grandfather was an Advanced Class ham radio operator who assisted in disaster relief operations when a major earthquake hit Nicaragua in 1972.
